Kristina Hamel Tong grew up in a real estate family in Charlotte, N.C. Her mother, Myrna Hamel, was a Top Producer with the Allen Tate Company, while real estate was a specialty of her father’s law firm. Together, this mother-daughter team formed The Hamel Group to bring their vast experience and commitment to customer service to their Low Country clients.Kristina earned a Master’s degree in International Nutrition from Tufts University. Her education provided the opportunity to travel for business to locations on three continents prior to launching a career in real estate sales from her residence in coastal California. She has been a real estate investor since 2002 and has experience as an owner-partner in residential, multi-family and commercial properties. No matter how many miles she traveled, she always came home to her southern roots. Kristina and her husband Bill packed up the family and left California to move east in 2014. Their daughter attends Charleston County School of the Arts and their middle son is a freshman at Clemson. She understands the moving process and is knowledgeable about the local market, neighborhoods, HOA’s, schools and Charleston’s rich cultural and performing arts. An avid and experienced gardener, Kristina has an eye for landscaping design and loves to help clients get their homes ready to sell, both inside and out.
